Engine differences mainly. JDM has AVCS, higher compression, cams(?), higher tuned map etc. Basically because the JDM was a single market car, they could build and tune the engine specifically to meet Japanese emissions and fuel quality.

Whereas EDM has to meet many different countries demands, so was designed to meet the lowest power / most stringent requirements.

My Blob JDM WRX had -
ISOFIX.
Rear wiper.
Alloy front wishbones.
Electric folding mirrors.
Climate Control not AC.
Factory Rear Tints.
250ps (as mentioned AVCS is standard)
HID Lights as standard.
I am sure a slightly higher red line but not definate.
It was so much better to drive with the AVCS than my previous UK Newage car.

All EDM cars have Isofix and all saloons have alloy wishbones.

Rust just depends how long it's been here!

EJ205 engine / 9 to 1 comp / big port heads / TD04 turbo / no cat in up pipe. stock 250 bhp. very sweet & driveable.

Easier to live with than STI (my opinion) add a td05 you've got 300 bhp......but why spoil a good thing.

I thought a Td04 would not have enough puff with AVCS at high RPM. Perhaps hybrid Td04 would work well and not spoil anything.

As per the Blobeye. But the Blobeye also had inverted dampers and sodium filled valves.
