Default Hit and run with damage

Parked up car on the road, came back to it like with the bonnet and bumper damaged. Looks like a lorry or something hit it and drove off. On further inspection grill is mashed and the slam panel probably needs replacing.

Spoke to insurance and they said its not worth going through them. Not sure if I'm searching the wrong thing but just can't seem to find parts anymore. What are the going rates.

Sorry to hear

I’ll check to see if Brian at cams performance has any bits for it in the right colour as he’s broke quite a few in the blue your Subaru is today

In the meantime eBay is your best freind mate as there might be one breaking in the same colour

I’ll check later on aswell

Had a look around no cameras pointing at the car or positioned in a way they would catch the culprit.

Did this staright away, looks like it wasn't a car but a lorry of some sorts. I can't prove it but the way the damage is and the rust transfered I'm 99% sure it was one of the car trailers that the garage local to me use. I can't prove it and they aren't taking responsibility.

Appreciate you looking mate. Will ping them a message and see what they are charging. Anyone know what the going rate is, if I'm honest I know the colour wil never match because of the age of these cars so not too fussed.

What are people's thoughts on a carbon fibre bonnet, are they good and what particular brands should you avoid.

Thats what I originally but I'm probably just typing in the wrong thing because I still haven't found a bumper support. Do sellers no longer list individual items

If you have found the bits I'm after feel free to pm

I'm due to go on holiday, went as far as organising airport parking so I'm not worrying about it because there have been a few atempts to nick it. Maybe I'm getting more stressed out and I should just take a moment

Funny thing is that was the conversation. In a bit more detail I told them what happened etc and they said your premium will go up by £300-£500 + £350 excess so can you repair it cheaper if so then we would strongly advise against putting a claim in.

A bit of an update. Went to a few garages/breakers yesterday because I just couldn't sit still. Americans are buying our grills so that has pushed up prices with a grill now costing £80. I remeber when they were £25

Appreciate all the help guys and will keep you posted

Sorry to hear that nossy. It seems to be perfectly fine these days to smash people cars up in a car park. I had an immaculate st170 keyed along the whole drivers door down to and into the bare metal.

Not too long ago my bugeye had its headlight used as a football and completely destroyed, even the brackets holding it in we're broke.

It's crap people can get away Scot free with it.
