Default De winged or not.

I really like the look of a de winged Impreza.

I知 really contemplating on doing it to mine. But instead of using my current boot lid I知 thinking of buying a carbon fibre one.

Found one here- https://rover.ebay.com/rover/0/0/0?m...2F232449379160

I messaged the company and they can confirm that it comes with the holes pre drilled ready to just bolt straight on.

Anyone had any experience with carbon boot lids before?

Having driven a OE Spoilerless WRX RA at speed on a Autobahn on the way to the Stelvio all I would say is it is interesting. Or lively would be another phrase.

Trooper is right , my Hawk is light as **** at speed , as the front digs in you can feel lift at the rear for certain .. I’ve lost a load of weight on my car & it also has no rear seats , the weight in the boot is def the spoiler , I just took the whole ( boot spoiler off in 1 ) & put a second hand boot on de badged & painted it . Not sure what the weight saving is over a carbon job ,

When i bought my car it came with a carbon spoiler that had aged pretty badly so i decided to go for a change and go wingless.

day to day driving up to motorway speed i barely noticed any difference in handling and ive not pushed it much past that since getting the work done so cant comment much on higher speeds.

youll need to do something with the bootlid spring with the reduced weight. Ive got one from a wrx but yet to fit it.

seibon do a smooth carbon bootlid but youll be paying seibon prices...

The 4 door classics could work without one but not the 2 doors. Took mine off for some days back in 2009 but it was so ugly that I had to fit it again. And it definitely felt more tail happy. Not sure if it's the downforce or the weight of it.

It's Jap A Line spoiler that came standard on the STI Limited. As far as functionality at generating downforce i couldn't tell you.
