I have recently brought a 2003 JDM Impreza WRX STI V-Limited and found the front lip scraping on everything, with the standard suspension, can it be height adjusted, even a centimer will be an improvement.

Cheers!

Are you sure it is standard suspension - generally they are fairly high off the ground?

Hmm maybe potentially I don't have the standard suspension or maybe it's been lowered.

Here is a pic of the motor from the dealer. It doesn't look too different 'gap wise' in the wheel arch.

That does appear lowered. Jack up the side of the car, id the suspension is black and non adjustable it is stock. If not, look for a screw like thread on the shock, this will indicate that it is adjustable, then depending on type there are tools to raise / lower it. A local specialist will be able to sort this and adjust tracking etc to suit if needed.

Stock wheel centre to arch should be around 380mm (STI blob/hawk) at the front. Less than 360mm, at the front, is normally problematic, if you're running a lip spoiler.

The 2003 V-Limited came with pink "Toshi Arai" STI shocks and springs.

My wallet can sigh a breath of relief. I see threading on the coilovers, that's a good sign! Cheers all. I'm not sure what sort of height I want it put to now. As it has a front splitter it's relatively low at the front. Or shall I just go with stock height? The whole reason I got a scooby was that it was function over form. SO to be defeated by a measly speed bump is just crazy in my eyes.

Your car was originally 15mm lower than a stock STI.
What are your current ride heights?
