Default Widetrack model buying?

Ok, I've seen a few of these posts but nothing that pin points questions I have. So please bare with me:

What sort of price should I be looking at? I've seen models from £8000 then others at £11000 with hawk eye over £11000.

Would you buy on condition over mileage. Age old saying in the Evo world. However let's be honest, when buying we all look at miles at some point.

Any immeidate shortfalls, certain model over another? From my research I see JDM has optional upgrades as standard. Is this 'the' model to go for?

Ideally looking for a crystal grey/silver or blue. Widetrack blobeye or hawkeye. Any advise welcomed!

Thanks

JDM is arguably the better car, but you'll have to pay a premium for a well looked after example. UK spec hawkeye (best looking subaru IMO, but I'm bias ) cars (2.5ltr) my advice would be to look for a car that's had a forged rebuild with closed deck conversion.

I've had my '05 Widetrack for about a month now. I bought a low miles, low owner example (under 40k) so went for condition & mileage!

One thing to note is that the low speed ride is a tad bumpier in a Widetrack than a normal Type UK.
My only complaint so far is what seems to be a squeaking top mount which I guess is a byproduct of under use.

Around 10k seems to buy you a decent example with circa 70k on the clock.

Prices seem to be all over the place £10,000 - £14,000.

Didnt realise such a hike in prices in truth however as yourself I'm also looking for a low mileage example with service history.

Hurst performance/cars seem to have some nice examples but reviews seem a bit mixed.

Personally I would buy a uk car n spend the 3-4K you will save on making it a lot better car than the jdm version. There isn’t much difference between the 2 but I must admit the resale value is considerably more on the jdm. Most people walk into a deal with blinkers on so just be careful your mind is on the car n not hype.

Jdm is the much better option speaking from owning both

It took subaru a year to dilute the sti for the uk

I don't miss the rumble infact sounds better and nothing like my r1 bike

Ditto. On Subaru no.8 and only the first 3 were UK models.

Spend the 3-4k extra for the JDM and get that money back when you resell, or spend it on modding a UK and get none of that back when you resell.
