2 ways to mount fmic piping from inlet??? :S
So just looking at some pictures ready to mount the fmic up etc along with piping etc there seems to be 2 ways for the piping to go from the inlet side left or right which way and why is it two ways?
Inlet piping to the right
Inlet piping to the left
Inlet piping to the right
Inlet piping to the left

I was told that its best to have the cold side to throttle body on the passenger side, otherwise the pipe gets heat soak from the turbo.
Went to a show last year and saw a kit like the bottom pic and you couldnt touch the pipe that was over the turbo it was that hot. How much difference this makes I dont know, but seems logical to have the cold feed on passenger side

It depends on the kit you buy (unless you're building your own). If you're worried about heat from the turbo, there's loads of turbo heat blankets on the market. I run a Perrin version and it works a treat.
If you run 2.25" hot-side down the turbo, you'll not get a pressure drop and it'll minimise lag, then 3" cold-side up to your throttle body, so it matches the body.
