Default Hi!

Hi everyone!
Was thinking for far in the future mods for my WRX wagon (2005). Still wanting to keep it looking like a sleeper, as in standard form they really are!
When you start pushing over 300-350 (which it may not go further) but I was looking at costing up for a FMIC , any ideas? Past experience?
Also been toying with the idea of cutting the offside fog lamp out and putting a cold air duct through and up into the area where the air filter is seated? Could I do that now, with standard spec and would it have any MAJOR repercussions??? The air filter itself would need upgrading to probably an open - with a shield as the engine gets hot, don't want to be counter productive.... But its something I would like to try.. a lot of people say its a must that you have it tuned after, but they said that about my BOV and that hasn't put a foot wrong in 3 months....
Thanks in advance

Side note, had it timed today by my Dad, it did a 0-60 of 5.9 so still in amazing condition to do a factory time after 98,000 miles! Will be having fresh oil soon

300-350 doesn't require FMIC, and why install one if your making a sleeper, it doesn't make sense.

Really

So why are you considering installing a fmic? You won't benefit over a tmic at that power. Your considerations make no sense to me, especially if hour going for a sleeper look.

One of the best value things that I did on my blob wagon at about 85000 miles was to clean the Injectors..... Overlooked by many but you have uprated already. Loved my wagon

I thought he whole idea of a sleeper is to keep the outside as tame and stock as possible, yet you talk of exterior mods such as cutting bumpers for induction purposes, I have a fmic, costs about 200 quid, I'd stick with the top mount if you want a sleeper though.

I'd suggest if you want reliability and longevity, don't go bigger than a VF35. In which case, all the other mods you mention are irrelevant.

STI Top mount will be fine at those power levels.
