As the title says will 2008 WRX STI hatchback calipers fit a standard 2008 WRX hatch?

Yes, but not with std WRX alloys, its well documented on here if you search.

The calipers fit as do the discs , but you need to have the discs redrilled on a 5 x 100mm pcd to fit your drive flanges

I've got sti hatch calipers on my wrx hatch. I'm running 18" wolfrace Jdm's and the calipers fit over them. bought some rear brake discs from godspeed also for my rear hatch brembos, speak to Ian, he's a good man to deal with and good quality discs also .
