Default Please could somebody help - Sigma M30 problem

Hi, please could you somebody help me / any advice?

I had my key stolen, Impreza R Sport non turbo 55 reg.

i have no spare key, but managed to get the code from Subaru for the key pad.

An emergency locksmith cut me a key for the car.

I managed to start the car with the new key using the code.

The locksmith told me to buy a secondhand 1 button key from from EBay, and he would be able to programme this to the car.

i bought a fob, and he put in the sequence that's been shown on this forum.

now basically the car won't start, the alarm does not come on or anything, it's like it's in some kind of programme mode, but the key fod clearly was not right.

if I could get the car alarm to rearm itself, the code might work, and think will take to main dealer to get a proper key.

please could anyone help,

Hi people, managed to figure it out.

Because the pad was being messed around trying to programme the fob, it must have gone into lock out mode. For some reason, I thought that the lock out mode lasted 30 Seconds, but it's actually 30 minutes..... and me being cleaver, disconnected the battery thing I would clear any errors, but while the battery is disconnected, the 30 minutes lock out mode is not being allowed to run its course.

Anyway, I can start the car and drive it with the pin code pad. To be honest, I am not going to risk messing about with it anymore, going to take it to dealers and ask them to sort out a new key. They where kind enough to get me the code and gave it me for free... hope they are gentle with me for a new key.

I'd be interested to hear how you get on with the new key from the main dealers, i need to get a new one sooner rather than later so be interested to know what you had to pay for the privilege.

Somewhere on the forums, many moons ago, I posted a thread on all the different ways you can use the keypad and programme keys.
Just got back in a Scooby after 2 years in a new S3.

Hi, this link has documents relating to the Sigma security system, and how it can be programmed by the user.
