Surely what's left of it can't be worth that much, especially with the engine potentially fubared?

Surely people can't be stupid enough to be bidding on it without reading the description and realising it's an already partially stripped write off!!

Cat B is where the vehicle is no longer safe to put back on the road and must be broken or crushed. These can only be sold to registered dismantlers with an EPA waste licence. They are actually sold as parts and are no longer considered as a vehicle. There is no economic consideration involved, purely a safety one. Vehicles that have been flooded are normally written off as a cat B.

Yeah i know, only way he could of kept it if not gone though insurance, but says cat b. So not sure how that has happened. Plus sold for £7100. Surely by mistake but not relisted.

Being nosey, buyer wanted it as a track car, knows it can't go back on road, happy to put chassis leg on it and has no concerns re engine.
7k mustn't be a lot to some people.
had 17,000 views apparently.

I thought someone was about to make a big mistake, given the main picture in the advert of the car before the crash. He'd done that purposely to get attention and got 17000 views. He said the main bidders had contacted him.
It wasn't any of my business of course but seemed ok about it.

Ha ha ha it's been relisted. I bet people thought it was an undamaged car. He's now leading with different picture.

Ok the lead picture in the previous ad was a little misleading, but I can't believe there are people out there thick enough to bid on it without reading the description or looking at the rest of the pictures.

If they really are that thick how do they even have access to the kind of money they were apparently prepared to pay for it?!
