Default Can anyone help

Hi new member here soon to have a impreza rs sport 2007 an was wounding what parts are about?
I have big plans for this car which include :
new head unit double din
alloys (need to know the pcd an what's ones fit an look best)
induction kit
exhaust (want a nice loud sound out of it)
bonnet with the classic impreza scoop
bigger spoiler
coil overs
car mats
dress up the engine bay
maybe upgrade speakers an put in a sub

Can anyone help with what's the best parts an where I can get them. I know a bit about map cars as I drive a swift sport which I've had for 7 years from new an it modified alot wheel exhaust etc. I won't have the car till November which is when my daughter is due to be born an need the car as it's alot bigger than my swift an was hoping to maybe get some parts ready for it thanks in advance

pcd is 5x100 on that model

Performance mods on an n/a will see little to no gain, if you want to go faster make it lighter and handle/brake better.

Exhaust on the n/a is equal length so dont expect the subaru burble, also the decat/aftermarket exhausts are mentally expensive compared to turbo models (see scoobyworld etc).

Making it look nice will be easy if you use parts off the wrx/sti models, start with a splitter, bonnet, spoiler, interior bits

Basically use the wrx/sti's for inspiration but my advice would be not to spend daft money on a non-turbo because you may as well look at what a wrx will cost and head that way.

If your buying induction kit for performance will add nothing,
unless its for sound. I wouldn't both with coilovers and just upgrade handling mods. If you check trade section on here Matty sells loads of STI parts, plus members forsale section is always good to look for parts.

For exhaust as ricky said too pricey, i'd get one custom made, Powerflow do custom cat back systems for Scooby for few hundred, or back box for £130 and you pick what you want. Mate just got one for his BMW sounds nice.

Plus burble you will need unequal manifold.

Thanks for the help the thing is I'm swaping my car for it so it's not costing me a thing it my dad's wife an only swaping as it bigger than my current car as I have a kid on the way. I don't really need it to go faster as it will have a higher bhp than my current car as standard just wanted a nice exhaust induction kit an set of wheels an maybe some lowering springs just to make it look better as I don't know how long I will be having it few years or more.

This is only my personal opinion, so happy to be shot at dawn if you don't like it:

Get rid, or keep it standard, don't waste £ on upgrades as you won't recover the costs.

So let's do some math: I have no idea what the car resell at but let's assume 3k. Your going to add a few grand of upgrades to something that will sound "alright", and look "alright" once finished?!

Just buy a blob STI, or even a WRX with modifications. Your model is missing engine bay glam, brakes, interior trim, sound, body styling, power, curb appeal.

Prepared to be shot

Ps - you must have been drinking into your mid 20's, thus insurance on a turbo model isn't as bad as you may think.

I dont want the car to go any faster really just want it to look a bit better as it's gonna be a family car more than I take it to shows etc. So some wheels,l owering springs, induction kit or air filter and a exhaust is what I will do to it an a Head unit. Only reason I am having it is because it's bigger than my current car a swift sport just would rather it have a bit more style that's all.

I want that impreza exhaust noise from it I know you need a new manifold for it any one tell me what one will fit an where to get one from. I know people say it's a waste of money but I can't afford a wrx atm an needed the bigger car which my dad is swaping for mine. So I just wanted a few nice mods for it as I will prob have the car for a while as I'm in the middle of doin my house up.

You need a manifold off a uk turbo car.
An oem one is your best bet, will be cheap as chips from a breaker, then just a custom exhaust from manifold back.

Ok that's what I will do get the manifold from a turbo impreza does it have to be the same year as mine 2007 Hawkeye an my swift is worth about 3 grand in good condition. Mine has scuffs on front an back so not looking at much for it like I said I don't really care about it goin faster just want a bit of style an nice sounding car. I will get a faster car later on in life when insurance lets me an I can afford it this car will do fine for now.

The unequal length headers will not just bolt on. If, like the JDM cars with TS turbo's which have equal length header, the sump and dipstick will need changing. Then a map would be advisable to account for the changes.
Perhaps a Blob or Bug GX would have been a better starting point.
