Default Here we go again...

So after doing some 350 miles today the last 10 miles my engine temps were all over the place reaching right to max temps. managed to limp it home with heating blowing on full and as accelerating would make the temps drop, but normal cruising would make the temps rise.

got home and overflow full to brim. took top coolant cap of and idle the car, at this point literally seconds it began to absolutely pour out the top res, so fast it dumped what ever coolant was left out the car.

now ive had the car back 6 months after a full rebuild which included heads, water pump etc etc.

im expecting this to be HG but the symptoms are entirely different to last time. last time I had no heating in car and would fill up the overflow after boosting and loose heat in cabin.

this time I have heating in cabin, engine temp gauge is fluctuating based on above. its just baffled me as to how fast and vigorously it chucked it out of the top res, Someone has suggested a blockage but baffles me to why it would happen a long time after it last had some work on it and has been faultless until now.

Engine builder for advice is my first call, if you start messing they may not want to know further down the line, how many miles have you done in the 6 months ?
