Default New car maybe soon

Hi very close to test driving a wrx sti s203. I've had a reasonable insurance qoute. Just need to go see the car in question test drive etc etc. My last car was a e90 m3 so I've got some experience of performance cars. Never drove a scooby before my friends got a spec c think it's a bugeye he raves about it. Says its miles better than a uk model. Anyone had a s203 any good ?

rab89 was selling one for his dad a while back (search S203) You could try a private message to him. They are quite rare cars and I don't think many people have owned one. Put a link to the car up and people may give you some advice/ feedback.

If buying an import ask for the original auction sheet and get the model/vin code.

Then use CarVX to get the history of the car when it was in Japan.

Personally think the above is a must. Stopped me from buying a car that wasn't quite how it was portrayed.

Good advice from EddScott above, car looks nice in advert and not hugely overpriced in my opinion. Still needs to be viewed in the flesh, check if it has been under sealed and proof of service/cambelt/ mileage on mot certificate etc. Might be worth finding about spare part availability as it is quite a rare car.

Went and had a look. The most un comfy seats I've ever sat in. I have seen some posts about if your not skinny you might struggle lol. Couldn't live with the car they were that bad I would of had to change the drivers seat.

The seats are different but I never realized they would be that uncomfortable.
Still not sat in an s203 or s204 so I wouldn't know

/\ You keep referring to your friends Spec C (you have said bugeye & blobeye, the difference is obvious) which isn't the same as the S203.

Apologies, when you said "friend" I assumed you would know what he had

Go and have a look at it bud, would be worth a look at the KTC one too, but with caution.

I think you should search for a spec c instead of the s203 if you don't like the seats

So just change the seats. WRX/STi seats are 10 a penny.

That's a very good point, but anything removed from the car that is OEM I would be dry storing to retain the originality and authenticity

That's what my friend said get some other seats put the recacaros in the loft. But that's what makes the s203 special all the extras. I'll prob end looking for a spec c or jdm sti. I quite liked that white Hawkeyes that's just sold.

I cant see which car you are referring too as my work laptop prevents the link working, but having looked at what Hurst has for sale, he has some cracking motors, not bad prices either!

Definitely worth a look.

The seats are a bit narrow, they do take a bit of getting used to. Awesome bit of kit though!
