RS3
Went for a spin in my Blobeye Yesterday (first time in a while) on the way home came across a Audi RS3 had a little play and it could shift but the thing that got me was the noise it made it sounded lovely. I looked at prices when I got home and **** me they are expensive but in reality it's probably only one of a few cars I would trade the Scooby in for.

This is very interesting to me. I'm always looking for something good to drive; maybe the site should have some kind of threads like:
Best car around 10k
Best car around 15k
etc
I would love to hear the opinions of folks that are especially into cars. Imagine the debate / discussion (until it got heated...).

Nice car, lovely sound, but yet to find one in the flesh that isn't a glary colour! I also think the Merc A something class AMG sounds good too
I agree, I think I looked at the RS variations when they were first released, and spending £30k ~ £60k just isn't practical for me. I'm nervous about having more than £15k in a car, less so now as I live in a better area with ample off road parking, but those young lads that park on a busy main road

I had abit of a play the other day with what looked like in my rear view mirror a Mercedes diesel. I opened mine up on the dual carriage way and it was gaining on me quite a lot. After it passed I did a reg check, e63 s amg 585bhp version standard. That was a big surprise haha

the amg 63 is a nice car but so many merc models look the same i want some thing that looks different , audis have reliability issues not good reviews plus i knew an audi mechanic he was not praising of the brand , the positive side nice interiors

One roared away from me the other day as I was walking along the pavement, I'd actually hung around to listen to it, was left feeling very disappointed.
It sounded dreadful, just a loud but characterless and monotonous engine note (think Dyson vacuum)... interrupted by an entirely fake and naff sounding fart on every up shift.
drone... fart, drone... fart, drooone... fart.

Read a recent thread about a RS6 losing a valve, costing £30k for a new engine from Audi. But not really many more threads reliability woes....!
Been down the EJ257 Still route with failure...MY10 GT-R tuned to 610php was flawless & was looking for the same of the RS6!!
Quite like the Nardo Grey paint

I usually ask my "opponents" their power levels but never got around to asking him.
I raced loads of Audis this time, Newage Scoobs and Evos are rare at the strip now. This guy in the S5 guessed his power between 405-470, most running have had road maps so can only guess

Probably stage 2....370-400bhp ish. It's the way they put the power down, and the dsg box. 0-60 & 0-100 are ridiculous. Plus easy to launch where as the Scooby etc takes a bit more effort.
