Default Peddars suspension for Hawk?

I was speaking with the chap at Scoobyparts on Friday about replacement suspension for my Hawk STi. He mentioned that if I was nervous of the coilover route (my car is a daily driver) that Pedders could be the way to go. He mentioned a boat is on it's way over to the UK. Having done some research it seems that Pedders have been available for a while but only for the 5x100 PCD. Have Peddars now produced suspension for the 5x114 PCD?

The did say they were planning on doing them for the hawk, I've got them on the blob and it's the best mod I've done to the car either that or its the fact they replaced bc coilovers

Yes, it's off the back of review comments on Scoobynet that I'm sure they're going to fit the bill very nicely. Comments on BC coilovers very mixed.

Must say, I'm a little confused. I measured the PCD on my car is it appears to be 5x100. I'd thought all Hawks were 5x114.

Correction after measuring in daylight. PCD is 114mm.

I have them on my Hawk WRX as I was suffering from the knocking OEM struts. I didn't want to go down the coilover route as I heard they can be very crashy. Pedders are an ideal inbetweener. They lower the car by approx 20-30mm and soak up the crappy UK roads without being too harsh.

However, this doesn't help you as I don't think they are available for the Hawk STI:

As above, dont think they do widetrack or wagon fitment (i had heard they were working on them so may have become available since i last looked though), best bet check out their website, fitment guides are on there

Great news Hawkeye owners. I have been speaking with Pedders UK. The Hawkeye suspension kit is going up on their website in the coming few days.

Bc coilovers i have two sets fitted one is ok the other very good , Tein basics are good for a cheap option , it depends what you want and how you want , peddlers are a good set up , a question above mine are all 100 pcd what's the difference in 100 to 114 pcd suspension ? is it strut bolt holes being different ?

Apologies, I didn't ask since I have the saloon. Appreciate wagons haven't been supported previously due to ride height differences, or something.

Excellent question, something I was wondering too. My Pedders contact asked me to confirm the width of the clevis bracket on my car, so maybe it's different on the 114mm PCD cars. No idea why Subaru would change it.

i would have thought any subaru strut would bolt up as the difference is in the wheel
bolt spacing , top mounts can be one type or another but that easy enough to resolve , i heard most subaru suspension is interchangeable between models and cars it looks the same lol

the front hubs of the 114 cars are oversize to accomodate the H/D bearing set and hence use a different mounting clamp on the lower section of the strut

we do undertake mods to allow these to be used on earlier 5x100 cars

Facebook Post

the Pedders Hawk STi kit will be available very shortly

we can easily supply Pedders, Tein, Whiteline, Eibach, etc. at competitive pricing as always........

0.75mins more negative camber on a wagon strut
WRX saloon and wagon 100pcd - 65mm
STI 114.3pcd - 75mm - larger front wheel bearings.

Be interesting if Pedders disclose the spring rates.

Had Pedders on my daily FSTI when I got it and they were just fine. No issues and a good ride. I went to coilovers for other reasons and have been just as pleased with that decision.

It seems with most products, there are people who've had nothing but trouble and others no trouble at all. Research user comments on the web and you end up not being sure if something is good or utter crap! Same goes for Peddars I guess.
