It was only a matter of time
After arsing about and taking far too long to fit a legal sized front plate I finally got stopped, last week I was suppose to swap the registration over to the Wagon and put the original back on the hatch but I completely forgot!!
If I had done it then this wouldn't have happened, ah well **** happens.

I don't blame them tbh, the spacing mean anpr won't operate correctly, so they won't be able to read the plate if they need to find it, incase it was stolen for example,
I've ran a small place since day one, but if you look at the law it is the font size, font spacing and borders that they like to be a certain way, I've made the plate to legal specification but the backing /reflective part are as small as possible, but still legal borders and a tiny postcode of the plate maker.

To be fair it wasn't the traffic cops that stopped me, it was the local police, well local to a village 20 miles away, the local policeman wouldn't have stopped me as we're cycling pals
But......I'm not sure what the usual protocol is for points and fines but they just gave me a notice for 21 days which means I need the slip stamped by a mot station to confirm that I've fitted a correct sized plate.

I got pulled in my Evo years ago for having a square plate(standard Evo position) sat there for 20mins arguing with the PC that imports have square plates but she was certain that all UK cars should come with the standard UK long plate in the centre of the bumper after messing about for ages she told me she would let me go!!
