The icv is playing up on my 05 sti ticks over at what ever it feels like has anybody had any luck cleaning theirs or is it best to just buy a new one and I take it its best to stay away from the cheap eBay copy's although it is tempting to give one a try at £50 when a OE one is £250.

I had this on my blob sti, I was told they very rarely go wrong, spent money with a specialist who changed some other things first.......got the car back with the same fault, took it off and cleaned it as per the guide on here.....made no difference.

Bought a good used one from MB on here for 40 quid.....problem solved.

Thanks I'll try MB or Scooby spares tomorrow I've defineatly boiled it down the icv as when its ticking over high if I give the icv a little tap it goes back to normal
