Default How to disable alarm with flat battery

As above really, battery has gone flat, and while charging it the alarm goes off and I can hear a relay clicking a few times per second.

Pressing the key fob doesn't deactivate the alarm.

Any ideas? Car is a 2005 STi with factory Sigma alarm.

Thanks!

This happen to me with my aftermarket sigma and old original car battery the car battery won't disable while the battery is flat and alarm going off every time I disable the battery to charge it . the only way I found round it was to use jump leads disable the alarm then leave it off then once that's all done u should be free to remove the battery for charging...

This happened a few time to me due to the original smaller spec c battery going flat very quick I've now gone down the optima battery route and haven't looked back.

Take the leads off the battery - or start the car using a battery booster thing.

turn ignition on when you disconnect the battery and it should be fine.

Battery disconnected from the vehicle and connected to a trickle charger, all seems OK so far.

Thanks guys!
