Is there such a reducer to allow 52mm gauges in a 60mm pod?

I'm sure someone posted about this. No adaptors afaik, but what about making a cover for the present holes using black acrylic, or ABS sheet, 2mm thick, with three 52 mm holes centred on the 60mm ones? Then fit it from the front with glue, silicone etc, or from behind with the same?
