Hi there,

Just wondering as to what would be needed to fit a TD05 20G turbo onto a Hawkeye wrx type uk which has the standard td04? I'm aware of other things required such as fuel pump, sti tmic, etc but just wanted to know whether the td05 would be a straight swap or needed modification?

Straight swap if front entry with supporting mods and map of course

Great, the turbo I'm getting comes with a fitting kit as I believe the TD04 has smaller water and oil banjo bolts. So that should be all I need to fit the turbo in and other parts etc.

Are all ordinary tdo4,s front entry turbos ? What's the difference

Some of the TD05 variants from older models came with the turbo entry off to an angle, like this:



So some TD05's have been converted to "front entry". Although pretty much everything a bit newer will have front entry now.
