Default Type R number plaque

Hi,I've got a mate who's got a version 6 type R but it's missing the number plaque,does anyone know how to find out which number it is?

My bad... the V6 type R limited was indeed numbered, it was the V5 type R limited that wasn't... slip of the mind..

But the answer to your original question, there's no way that I know of he'll be able to find out the number unfortunately.
Does he know who imported it ? Sometimes importers will keep a record of cars they've brought in, maybe they can help...

It's unfortunate but the badges are often pinched during the import process. Other than the importer having some info you're pretty much stumped...
I'd also recommend he strip the car out and have a really good search, I've heard of plaques being found under the back seats etc.

If it was a fairly recent import I may be able to check the grade sheet in Japan and sometimes they list what number it was on there but not always the case and has to have gone through the Jap auctions within the last 3 months for me to check.
