Default Ticking noise

Good morning all,

A week ago today I picked up a fresh import sti type RA ver 3. My question is that it's got a ticking noise when pushing the accelerator pedal extremely lightly when in gear and on idle not in gear.

Anyone have any ideas?

Cheers Tom

Boost control solenoid,it's located on the drivers side front suspension strut, perfectly normal for it to tick, put your finger on it when it ticks just to confirm it is that but I'm pretty sure that's what your hearing.
Injectors also tick but can't usually be heard in the cabin.

Aaaahh right, currently putting shell v power in, my understanding was that in Japan they rate their fuel differently to us so their highest (103 I think) is the same as our 99?

Please correct me if I'm wrong.

Just checked. Looks like they have changed the V Power rating here I'm sure it used to be 97 which is why everyone said get it mapped to UK fuel.

No harm in getting it checked any way. I'm being cautious as I have had my engine go on me albeit a different reason.
