Default UK300

Hello

How can I tell a if a 2005 Blob UK300 is a UK300 and not just a WRX that has had bits added to the interior and badges to the exterior to make it look like a UK300. Isn't there supposed to be a number out of 300 near the gear stick or anything else to look out for

very easy to mod to look like it so dont go by that. If it doesn't come up as a uk300 on the log book i'd assume its not.

simply put its a wrx with bolt ons.

Recently sold mine and they don't say WRX 300 on the log book, don't have a number 1-300 either.
You could check subaru, sure they can confirm with the chassis number.

But aren't they just a wrx with extra bits stuck on anyway? May be a different engine map but isn't the running gear exactly the same as a wrx.

Yes, exactly the same, just a different map giving them 261bhp and a few cosmetic bits.
