https://www.gov.uk/vehicle-tax-rate-...r-1-march-2001

You need to know Subaru's official g/km CO2 figure to find out.

I'm guessing it's 225g/km, so that'd be £295...?

Just found this:

http://www.nextgreencar.com/view-car...anual-6-speed/

Is that really correct though: is it really in the highest band?! If so, sack that! lol

To cover everything, I checked all 3 options on that page that would be relavant for your model/year, and all came back as £515.

So unless that site is factually wrong, then it's not looking great.....

jdm could be based on capacity limit as no offical figures

could be 235 per year right upto 515 per year depends on how its registered by the incompenant dvla

Ah, yes good point - as it's not an official UKDM model.

And yes, DVLA are a ridiculous outfit.

In fact, all of the UK's so called national utility companies suck the big one: BT, British Gas, Sky......you name them.

taken from another site

his jdm import is £235 per year

It depends if it's on the documentation supplied with the car from Japan really. I believe the CO2 emissions standard is an ISO (ie international) one. It's definitely in the brochures for the current lineup on the www.subaru.jp website (for example, the Legacy B4 with the FB25 engine is 159 g/km). I suspect it'll be available in official Subaru documentation for the Gen IV models too, but my Japanese isn't good enough to see if that still exists on the website

Weird - nay, annoying (for some, obviously) - that it can differ so wildly!

But as mentioned, no doubt it's due to DVLA being crap and stuff lol

It will most likely be taxed as a PLG, not on emissions
