Hello everyone, I'm new on here just want some information please I have just brought a Subaru 2012 sti ☺ but I only know a little about them, can anyone here help me and tell me things to look out for, good and bad points etc. Thanks

As above.

Is it a JDM 2.0ltr or a 2.5ltr hatch?
Standard? Has it been recalled for a safer map due to the common 2.5 engine failures?

I did own a 52 bugeye 6 years ago and had no problems at all nothing went wrong fantastic car, then I part chopped it for an Audi A4 2.0T fsi quattro s line se. And now gone back to Subaru based on my previous experience.

Welcome. As said above, get it mapped really. The standard ECU maps are not great for the car and tend to promote failure of piston rigland issues (which is common in these). They also sometimes suffer from head gasket failure on the 2.5 engines. You'll no doubt get to hear about these 2 issues quite a lot on here. That said, I love the 2.5 engine and love the later saloon cars. Look and drive great!
