Default Stainless centre section on hatch help

Im not liking the sound of the subaru atm its got a differant rear can now would anyone know if this is a direct replacement for the standard centre section on my 2009 hatch sti

as per your previous thread the only one that hooks up to an existing OE backbox will be a scorpion one.

All others (like the H&S one you linked) require a specific backbox from the same manufacturer - if you dont believe me then contact them directly and ask them!

if you have non-oe backbox then you need to get the matching brand centre section for it

Ive rang them this morning they said its a direct fit for the standard one its same shape i told them i had a pror rear box and they said its fine as they are the same shape and advised me not to change it as there expensive and really good quality

Cool if H&S say it fits then no problem didnt when i was speaking to them last year but maybe theyve tweaked the design

Looking at the pictures and comparing with OE the H&S one is a two part centre with the new "tail section" matching OE.

Minus the tail section - suitable for their own quad exhaust
