Default Sti 03 creaking brakes???

Have been making this noise for ages since I had disks and pads changed. Is now driving me mad. Does it when apply brakes when stationary also. Have used the search feature but have not found a definitive answer to the problem. Any ideas ? Sounds like I am standing on a creaking floor board when I break !!!

I would take the pads out and make sure they are moving freely and not catching the sides of the caliper and re grease and put back in, some pads are slightly too big and edges need rubbing back a bit , Ebc pads often need a tweak

if noise started after pads changed and not before then likely to be related to that , but cars can be tricky things to resolve some times , I would still go with a pad issue , maybe even not enough copper ease on the pad and instead of slipping it's grinding

Yes it only happened after I replaced discs and pads with Godspeed stuff. Will it be ok if I can just live with the annoying noise at low speed and stationary applying of breaks ?

Is the creaking noise coming from the brakes? Or could it be coming from the fluid system such as master cylinder, servo or brake hoses?

sounds like pad catching , did you scrub where the pads sit in the caliper

I had this on my T25 with EBC blue pads. They were a little too snug. I used a file to take off a bit of material until they stopped binding. Wasn't sure if the pads were too big or there was corrosion under the metal clips on the calliper.
A good time to bleed them as well.

This may be a fairly obvious point, but make sure all the caliper mounting bolts are done up correctly. If the mating faces are not clean, and bolts not correctly tightened, the flex in the caliper can allow it to move very slightly causing a creaking sound. Hope you get it sorted
