for example when I make a new thread and click "new post" my thread does not show up until some one has either commented on it, can I change this so it shows in the new posts when clicked on?

But that`s the right way,
it isnt new to you as you posted it, once someone else has posted then it will contain new information and then show up when you click "new post".

ah ok.. all the other forums I use,have "new post" for all new posts made not just when some one comments on it.. right way to me is Ive made a new post so therefore should be in new posts lol
