Default Why is this 'standard' part so rare?

I am after a standard water crossover pipe for a 2.5 lump. This is the aluminium pipe that runs across the top of the engine and underneath the inlet manifold. This is a totally standard part and found on EJ25 lumps, but yet there are none about, no breakers have them etc. Only way is to import them? Why are they so rare for the 2.5? Hundreds of EJ20 ones about unfortunately......

The later 2.0 ones fit just the same, except they don't have lug for the cold start system, & they have a steel heater outlet pipe instead of an alloy one.

2.0 one is very similar, as i said a few little bends but im guessing its pretty much the same length etc. get one and hacksaw the 2 joining tabs and your good to go.

I think you're thinking of the wrong part guys. This is the part I mean.....

You'll notice on the right hand side that the screw hole is in a different position to the 2.0 versions.

That is for the cold start emissions solenoid, not needed unless your going to fit one, the base fitting has not changed from V1 to present day.

I would like the exact one though guys. Like for like and all that. They're impossible to come by unless you import them from Japan or the US. Thought they would be plentiful considering it's a standard part from a standard engine.

This may surprise you but some parts from the dealer are cheaper than scrap yards, wheel arch liners and wind deflectors are just two examples.

Have you tried a Dealer or asked Luke @ICP to check a price for you?
