Default Headers/manifold

Just looking for thoughts/Advice on what headers/manifold people recommend for my 04 plate uk Blobeye WRX/STI going to be running 480-500 bhp but trying to get the best bang for my buck. Anyone tried the Japspeed headers or anyone recommend any others that don't cost the earth.

Im running RCM headers heatwrapped, made awesome gains for me over the stock stuff, IMO if you are looking to run that power, then may aswell opt for a really good set of headers

I'm running a Japspeed exhaust manifold, no issues here.

Cheap exhaust manifolds are just that...cheap...
Exhaust manifolds take a huge amount of strain, I ran a set of laterals GT spec manifolds at a touch over 400. Well made, offered some nice gains over the standard set but even those gave up after a couple of years... and they weren't cheap either!

What would you suggest then? Japspeed set for £300 or there about or the RCM for £550 or there about? If they go anyway like yours after a couple of years surely the Japspeed one will do? I'm just concerned can they flow enough for the power I will be reaching.

DO NOT get the japspeed ones. Customer asked us to fit a set and the fitment was shocking. Had to literally crow bar them over to get them onto the heads and the up pipe was over 2" diameter so the car wouldnt make more than 1.2 bar boost. Once fitted the up pipe flange sat closer to the engine than stock so it buckled the intake pipe.

Pay the £500 from advanced automotive for RCM headers or talk to Alyn about some harvey headers/up pipe

Mine fitted fine as far as I remember. I'm not running massive bhp so can't comment afraid. Saying that I didn't pay £300 and I wouldn't pay £300 for Japspeed manifold there not worth that much.

Don't pay £300 for a japspeed manifold. Just get one off ebay for half that, they are the same manifolds anyway. Japspeed, 2fast2cool, eBay etc etc... all the same **** just in different boxes.

Deffo RCM headers. Got a cheap set they lasted 4 years top's and snapped at the up-pipe flange. Fitted a set of RCM and they are doing great.

Mine are kinugawa headers they are exactly the same as gt spec and loads cheaper. It cost me £280 all in delivered. (marked value lower). I wouldn't pay £500 for the same product when it's available bucket loads cheaper. If u can wait over a week or so then have a look on ebay fr kinugawa and message them
