I have just imported a JDM V2 STi and I'm awaiting the docs back from the DVLA regarding the reg number.


The car came with a metal rear reg holder that obviously holds the JDM reg plate. What have people done with this? Is it removable or have people just cut the 2 bottom 'legs' off it and fitted a regular UKDM sized reg plate?


I'd be interested to see/hear what others have done.

A lot just bend them up and use sticky pads to put the uk plate on

 

Fit a JDM size plate, I believe that is legal on an import

 

That's an arguable one if its been sva'd and mot'd with it on but could be a massive pain in the **** getting pulled all the time and arguing the toss on the side of the road.

 

Was never stopped with any of my JDM cars with JDM size plates.
