Default High Temp Gauge After Rad Change?

Hi,

I recently had a damaged rad, so I had it replaced along with the coolant but after driving it a few times since then, I have noticed that the temperature gauge goes from normal to nearly high and then back down again. This is with just normal driving and not driving the car hard. This can happen multiple times on the journey. There is no sign of any coolant leaking and the engine dosent seem as if it's over heating and no steam is present?

I've heard that it could be just trapped air that needs to work its way out?

Any advice will be much appreciated.

Thanks. Leo

Does sound like a air lock, did you Google how to refill the coolant on a impreza ?

Yeah, as above, most likely an air lock. Use the search function on this forum to find a good method of getting rid
