WRX STI 2016 - MPG!!!
Hi All
So having had two RB5's and a P1 for playing, I've been away from the scoobie fold for a while but am now looking to return. Hoping to order a new WRX STI but this time the car will be a daily drive as well as a fun thing...
So in short, I'm interested to know what peoples thoughts are on living with the car on a daily basis, particularly what MPG you get when you're not ragging it! (I know its wrong, but I will have to commute in this car too!)
Any experience would be gratefully received...
Cheers All
Brian

True, there are other cars out there, but I don't want an Audi, BMW, Merc, or Honda.
I've test driven the new Focus RS and its not worth £32K, and frankly didn't go much on it anyway...
What else is there?

Competition is to good, Must be mad to consider a new Sti.
When Subaru finally wake up and put a stronger direct injection engine with twin scroll and competitive power and mpg levels in the Sti then I'll put a deposit down.

Engineering Explained tested the STi at 26mpg (23 rated) and the WRX at 35mpg (28 rated).
He also tested the 0-60's and managed 5.5secs for the 305hp STi and 5.0 for the 268hp WRX with torque coming in 2,000rpm earlier on the WRX. The WRX is still rumored to have a 350lbft limit (rods) but the WRX is quite potent under the cap due to it's efficiency.
Certainly worth considering for the the less aggressive Subaru connoisseur.

I'm not sure they could pay me enough to own one tbh.
You can buy a 2015 Golf R, 0-60 in 5.1 sec ( manual ), better fuel economy, better dd and better looking. They sound quite nice too.
