Default Anybody else find there Blobeye STI seats uncomfortable?

I'm normally only in the car on short runs, 10-20 mins and find the seats fine. Lately I've been on some longer runs in the car and have found that the seats offer no support to the lower back. I'm not expecting Rolls Royce like comfort from them. I've messed about with the handle that moves the base up and down but this doesn't make much difference. The seats seem fine as in no wear to them. Just interested to see if anyone else finds there seats to be the same if so did you find any way of getting more support? I'm 6,2 so not the shortest. I can't remember having the same problem in any of my old classics.

I found this when I put them in my classic. (They were also too high for the Classic) so I swapped back. I'm 6'1" so this was an issue.

What about after market seats?

I have S202 seats in my classic and find the same thing.

Great support, fine for 20-30 min driving but I did over an hour in them last weekend and it was like sitting on a picnic bench. I have a herniated disc in my lower back and the lumbar support is good but the lower seat pad is too hard.

Best genuine seats have to be the bugeye sti seats they hold you in and feel more supportive the blobeye sti's are not half as bad as the hawkeye sti type uk ones, best genuine ones are the s203 recaro's or you could go for a genuine bride option which you might be happy with.

Newage seats don't fit a classic far too high.
The s202 bug seats are much tighter fitting than blob seats too.
The lack of adjustable lumber support is through problem.

Exactly the reason I swapped my Hawkeye seats for Bugeye seats.

I did however come across this little mod, which might be of interest to the op:

Bug and blob seats are far superior to the hawk items. Hawk seats look good, but provide little support IMO. Probably be better if you were a larger person, but for a skinny / normal built person, not great.

My bug STi seats are one of the most comfortable 'bucket' seats I've sat in and far better than the Blob SL/Spec D seats it came with. My previous B7 RS4 (Recaro buckets) and E46 M3 seats on the other hand would give me serious lower backache!

I did the above mod in the video, I did find it helped a bit but I only gave the supports a little strech. Still feel like I'm sat on the seat rather than in it. I might do it again and be a bit braver stretching it.
