Default Ball joint pinch bolt not going in

I have fitted a Super pro roll centre kit, and I also bought new pinch bolts as the old ones were very badly rusted.

The drivers side installed with out a problem, but on the passenger side the bolt goes in about 2/3rds of the way in, then just spins.

The bolt is definitely not stripped, I've tried copper grease but it still doesnt want to go in.

What am I doing wrong?

No its not.

Where you have split the hub to release the ball joint hasn't gone back together enough meaming the holes don't align.

Look through and you will see it. The joint will either need pinching together or opening up
