Imports

Gertjan supplied my car in November 1999 - top guy. Phone +31 186 661556 (the number's still etched into my brain) or mail gj_velde@wish.net
There's talk of Belgian cars coming with three years warranty that's valid over here. So far, no-one's managed to get this fully confirmed.
Gibsons of Brock (4wdcars.co.uk) used to be a Subaru dealer and now import from the Continent. They give a 3 year warranty and, from what I've read, they know their onions. May be worth a phonecall/email to them too?
Nick.

Another vote for Gertjan. He even gave me a bunch of flowers for the missus and a toy car for our 2 week old son (who was the reason why I was 3 weeks late picking up the car!)
Never had such a good dealer experience before.

BT52b - how's it looking with years 2 and 3 of the warranty? Have you asked your dealer if they'll honour it?
People were having problems getting things agreed...
It may be worth doing some chasing now rather than later.

Ditto, but went through Alliance Car Imports. (alliancecarimports.co.uk)
Bear in mind you'll be treated like a leper by Subaru UK- I.M. (not true of many of the dealers though).- except when you come to sell.
They'll bend you over.... :O

Hi,
I used Subaru Aalsmeer +31297347170 in The Netherlands. The salesman's name was Mr C.J.G. Strack van Schijndel. First name Constant. Top fellow who, when I arrived there, booked me a hotel after making numerous phone calls for me, to different hotels, as it was peak season due to the European Cup. He even gave me a lift to the hotel and the airport. Generally I found all the Dutch people very very helpful, from bus drivers to people on the streets with directions. One chap even used his mobile to help me with directions. I highly recommend Subaru Aalsmeer.
