Default Cat C value

I've been toying with the idea of getting a second car to keep the miles and the crap weather off my blobeye sti. I came across a late, classic impreza, turbo 2000, wagon in mica red. The body work looks in good condition, no rust on the arches, good service history and a tidy interior. No modifications to the engine and a 100k on the clock.

The car was recorded a cat c in 2012 when it had a new front wing and bumper, which according to the owner came to more than the value of the car. And is why the car is listed as a cat c.

Just interested in what you lot think it maybe worth. A lad at work reckons you roughly take 25% off the value for a cat c?

Cheers Paul

He originally had the car up for £2,200. Then found out it was a Cat C so took it down from sale. He was going to keep it as he thought no one would be interested in a cat c. He doesn't sound like a subaru enthusiast as such.

The accident happened before he bought it, in his original advert it does say he thought the car may have had a wing as under certain light the wing looks slightly different in colour.
