right i went from a nur spec cat back on my widetrack sti prodrive(sports cat) to a milltek de resonated 2.75". problem is the nur spec was just too loud and the milltek is just to quiet what would be inbetween these exhausts on noise levels ? was thinking afterburner vortex cat back!?

would be helpful if we could have a sticky or a thread of the loudest to the quietest cat back too

 

ive got a full afterburner vortex system on mine.not overly loud on tickover,sounds nice when you give is some tho.good build quality aswell.

 

keep miltek and go decat, it will be louder ;-)

 

have you had a nurspec on before?

 

no point really it's got a sports cat and it's legal so can't be doing with the decat mate

 

Got Hayward and Scott 2nd decat pipe, straight through centre pipe and jap back box on mine and it's just right in my opinion, not overly loud at idle or normal driving but plenty loud enough when giving it some.

 

no mate,have heard the mega loud.i dont think my neighbors would appreciate that if i have an early start haha.surprised they didnt get pissed off with my evo at 0430.that was stupid loud.

 

How long have you had the milltek on for?

 

was just seeing the comparison between the 2 systems that's why i was asking mate. want it louder than my milltek and not as loud as the nur spec

 

its been on a while now it has bedded in but still looking for something louder

i did have a full miltek system on my hatch tho.far too quiet for me.id say the afterburner was in the middle but more towards the nur spec if that makes sense?

 

I've had a Milltek, Nur Spec, Ninja II and finally I'm on Afterburner Vortex and I cannot be happier with it.

Tickover is a nice deep burble, if you put your foot down it gives a nice tone but if you want a nice quiet in car drive it's perfect.
