I'm after a passenger side electric folding mirror for an Sti 3 - so far I've managed to buy two from Ebay but neither were any use.
The first was a different type, maybe phase 1 Sti?
The second one was the right type but the motor didn't work. It was sold as untested but I was happy to gamble with £15 as the motor in mine still works - it's the folding mechanism that's come apart. But when I took it to bits the motor and folding mechanism were different to mine!

How many different types of Sti folding mirrors are there?

So does anyone know a decent breaker of classic parts who have a good stock and know what they're talking about?

Google "Impreza breakers", "Subaru breakers".

Also try Grade A and Motorhog.

I spoke with east Kent Subaru breakers, they've encountered a similar issue with their track Impreza and finding replacement mirrors - they need to be the V3 or V4 mirrors.
Hence I'm looking for a breaker who has some knowledge of the Impreza models - I don't want to add to my collection.

I'll try the ones you've suggested, Grade A have been around a while, thanks.

Might end up searching the yahoo.jp auctions.

Iv got a passenger side STi version 3 mirror here.

It's in white and looks in good condition, it came as a spare when I bought the car so don't know if it actually works.

Can have it if you want it, just call it £5 to cover postage.
