The rear arches seem to go more commonly on Terzo's than any other UK that I've seen, I don't recall seeing one recently with decent rear arches.

Don't be fooled by it needing a head gasket, it's quite normal for the bottom end to rattle out shortly after the gaskets have been replaced. Budget for a either a full rebuild or a replacement engine.

Have a look through this thread, most of the terzo's are listed here so you might find a previous owner. I had no.275 was a good car but basically a uk2000 with some extras.
Mine went really rotten at rear end.

What are the differences between a uk2000 and a terzo?

Special paint colour, alcantara seats, white dials and short shifter, and the number plaque.
Think that's about it.

£800 at most, to have the arches properly cut out and welded/painted etc your looking £500 min, and then a rebuild can cost you £1.5k+ if your going forged, so better off finding a cheap used standard bottom end and bolting the bits of this car to keep costs down, so a used bottom-end probably looking at around £500??

Potential money pit mate, your better of buying one running, arches are always going to be the biggest problem on a classic so your best to budget for this even if they appear to not have must rust bubbling!!!

Dont be fooled by adverts saying a little bit of paint blistering on the arches a easy/cheap fix its not, the bubbling/blister on the outside is only part of the problem, its when you cut away the panel its usually full of rust behind the skin, and will need a lot of work/metal/welding/painting!!

If your looking for a Turbo 2000, make sure the gearbox has no crunching, and makes sure it goes into every gear, I got stitched up on my first Impreza(13 years ago), as the 5th gear would jump out as you come of the accelerator, never checked on test drive.
