Admiral Insurance & lowering Springs
Hi All
Thinking off installing some Tein lowering springs but am unsure how Admiral would react to this mod....
I have exhaust, wheels, window tints, spoiler and other mods declared but does anyone have any experience with Admiral premium change as a result of suspension mods?
Cheers!

I took my insurance with Admiral through Confused.com.
One of the questions on there, when declaring mods, asked if the suspension had been lowered by up to 50 mm, or more than 50 mm.
Not being sure how much mine had been lowered, I tried both options, & the quote went up from £325 to £1036 when I said it was more than 50 mm.

Hi,
If they are prepared to cover your existing modifications I could see why they should have to many issues with the lowering springs.
If you do have any problems please feel free to drop me a line. I'd be only too pleased to help.

Dan.

Not only that it will srape everything, I have mine on coilovers and it's just to low that I can't get a jack under (also another thing to consider). but low it's low enough the wheels sit nicely in the arches. I'm on my second front splitter now Because of front bumper is so far out from the front wheels it hits the ramps on multi-storey car parks. So if you haven't done it before take that into consideration.
I was with admiral a few years back and they charged me another £50 for having an STi back box on my old WRX!
Unless you're keeping the car standardish, I'd recommend one of the specialists.
