Default 850 KG VERSION 1 WRX !!

Hi all i run a NOVEMBER 1992 WRX one of the first months output so when i see other early wrx / sti come up for sale on ebay i have a nosey , there is one up now weighing in at 850 kg and running forged pistons at 330 bhp.
I obviously messaged him asking if its totally stripped out as he lost nearly 400kg off standard and also what brand pistons were fitted and who by !
He answered he has previous owners paperwork stating it weighs 850kgs but no receipts for engine work /pistons or bhp print out lol

A few specs on my early import wrx are :

FACTORY OPTIONS
No air con
manual mirrors
no abs
alloy bonnet
mid level rear wing
closed deck block

work done so far

Mahle forged pistons
later sti forged and chamfered rods
acl bearings and studs
later four pots fronts and brembo rears
usual 3inch turbo back exhaust

once run in will be going front mount bigger injectors and turbo with esl maffless

Sounds like he's being a bit enthusiastic with the claimed weights. Mikee's drag car is more than that iirc and that is stripped to the bone as well as running no arches, tiny brakes, light weight seat etc

The easiest way to make an Impreza weigh 850KG is park it in an unlit car park in Liverpool overnight. I'd guess it might weigh even less than that the next morning!
