Hi rite a neighbour has got a classic wrx and has just come over to tell me he is now paying £137 a year insurance on classic car policy wear I am paying over £800 and he has no limits on he's policy now as he's car is a 95 and my car is a 95 I take it I can get a classic car policy to as the cars are 21 years old am I rite or is ther more to this what to look out for can I get some help /advice thanks boys/girls

Classic policies won't suit everyone.
As Wilkoca pointed out most classic policies should be for a second car, and doing low miles (less than 5000 normally)
You also don't earn any NCB
They also tend to be limited when you modify the car.
I spoke to a guy the other day who currently has a classic policy elsewhere but is having to shop around, as re-mapping his car resulted in a 100%+ rise in his premium.
Most specialist brokers such ourselves, Greenlight, A Plan etc can offer policies that although won't be quite as cheap as a classic policy, will retain the benefits of a private car policy, and be very mod friendly, whilst still being cheaper than a mainstream insurer as they are specialist policies
