...About owning an Impreza? I know it's the package but if you did have to choose?

Brakes.

I had a WRX with a set of 18s and 6 pot AP brakes on it, and going from the standard WRX to the same car with big brakes makes a world of difference, the brakes cost nearly £2000 but every bit worth it. On the same road I used every day I could out brake most cars before I got to the roundabout!!!

So if I could choose only 1 mod to put on my car, it would be a big set of brakes every time!!

If you like to push on then tyres make the biggest difference. More grip, better 'feel': you can brake later, corner harder etc

Handling is winning so far on the poll, but really that would be last on my list, the standard handling is OK(nothing special) but for a road car I will never be able to push the car to its full limits on the road, brakes I will always need, performance is always great when you push the fast pedal, and exterior I always like a nice clean looking car that looks great. as far as handling mods go personally I like the car to sit nice on the wheels so springs/coilovers as far as I go on handling mods!!!

As with most things in life it's a combination of things that make the whole package, so for me I'd say pretty much all of the above.

Still can't narrow it down to one single thing so it will have to be 2, brakes and handling, power means nothing without the ability to control it, large power advantages are easily overcome by cars with a good chassis and top quality brakes.

I also miss the sound of that flat 4 burble but the sound of a twin scroll on full chat kinda makes up for it

The classic looks that always turns heads with the noise and looks
Especially as they are a rare sight in the roads today

Any classics that's left will always be show favourites in the future

Well none of the above, actually.

It's the fact that (Porsche 911, Golf GTi apart) it's probably the most re-configurable vehicle on the road today.

Not happy with the performance?, engine?, turbo?, torque?, mapping?, brakes?, suspension?, handling?, sound?, steering?, looks?, trim?, wheels?, intercooler?, engine bay?, interior?, what-have-you...?

There's someone out there who'll point you to a solution to whatever you think you need.

Sound winning so far, surprising.

Obviously all attributes make the car desirable but if the Subaru Impreza only came with 115bhp but still sounded great I'd not buy it.

Brakes...That was the 1st thing i did on mine...Upgraded to 6 pot Alcon monobloc calipers with 365mm discs. Handling is already ok and got more then enough power so for me it was a no brainer. Handling next.
