Default 2001 Subaru Impreza WRX £1500

SOLD SOLD SOLD SOLD.

SUBARU IMPREZA WRX BUGEYE

An original example with 197,600 miles
The car has been used as a daily runner.
Service by East Sussex Mobile Services in Polegate (Stuart and John)
Previous MOT history.
Subaru Service History up to about 140k + lots of reciepts for services and work carried out since then.
MOT until March 2016
This is an old but trusted family car. The car has dents and scratches (I'll post pics) and also rust spots (see pics) it is showing signs of its age, marks on seats, wear and tear etc
It really needs some TLC to bring it back to its former glory.
The car has a slight clutch judder on take off but otherwise drives excellently. The dash clock doesnt work. Sometimes when its cold you get the smell of petrol fumes in the cab. (I'm led to believe this is caused by a problem with the fuel lines as they run under the intake manifold.
http://i156.photobucket.com/albums/t...WRXfuelTSB.jpg
Also there is a slight noise on overrun probably from the gearbox but this has always been there since I got the car in 2008. I bought this car from a friend who also said it had the same noise! He had the car from almost new. The alarm noise doesnt work but the central locking that is part of the same system works fine.
It's due a service in March along with a cambelt change.
£1500
Please call me on 07759825401 if you are intesrested.
Thanks
Ian

900 quid Is a very fair shout. I'd be taking that as I very much doubt you'll get a better offer.

Dude it has smaller speed line wheels at the rear and wrx wheels on the front it must drive like ****tt and the rust spots your looking at a full respray or even plastidip but the prep work would be huge as the roof is not a quick spray over maybe a track weapon for someone??

Hi Zany. Your wrong about the car. But thanks for your comments. The rear alloys are same size and it drives excellently. I got a pair a few years ago when one of the rear alloys had a crack in it. They were brand new unmarked and are still in excellent condition as per the photos. There's 4 pretty good tyres on it as well. Yep it's got rust spots as stated in the ad. If you don't like it don't bother commenting. Ta

Soz dude if my comments offend you but selling a car with massive dents, rust and two separate pairs of alloys on your not gonna get comments like MINT CAR PAL GLWTS, I've seen more cleaner and mint cars at the breakers good luck with the sale you'll need

Thats ok Zany but its the cheapest 2001 (51 Plate) Saloon WRX with MOT that i can find anywhere?!? I'm guessing you might try and prove me wrong? Its also priced to reflect the age, mileage and condition. I'm trying to be fair and realistic. :-)

THIS!!!,In all honesty mate I have to agree with the above comments the car requires quite alot of money spent to get it to that half decent condition and with nearly 200k on the clock is rebuild mileage territory, you are most probably better off breaking it if you can.Anyway Glwts.SJ.

Trust me, you'll regret not taking the 900 quid offer. The buyer will find another and I gaurentee you won't get another offer that high.

£900
Is. A fantastic offer for a very high mileage 015 year old car with tow bar and dented wing and scuffed front end
Also rust on the roof is something very unusual
Looks like windscreen replacement has caused rust on the front part of the roof
Alloys and dents tidyed up
You looking 1000-£2000 to tidy the bodywork up on it
You want honest opinions
£900 is too high an offer

I've got the feeling a breaker will get it. They are offering me more than £900. It's a shame as its been a faboulous car for me over the last 7 years. I kind of hoped someone would get a bit more life out of her but I guess not. Those EE breakers are happy to pay and I guess they easily make their money back once they've shipped them home. I sold my old Audi A6 to them and it got shipped off to Croatia. It's a crazy old world we live in!!! Someone somewhere can see value in these old cars.

Maybe im wrong for posting this.this is my forester not an impreza though.im in two minds to sell it i have bills for nearly 4k at slowbow racing including a brand new vf34 last year if im honest i think i will struggle to get 2k for it.worth a lot more in spares.it sounds like the car has served you well so a bit less money for it will make up for being a reliable car for you

I'm struggling to see how there's even £900 worth of spares on that bug... how could a breaker make money on that if he's offering what the op wants ??

But regardless, if they are offering then take it chap.

I'll tell you if I sell it to the breakers. I've got a couple of potential buyers now. So hopefully one of them will make good and save the old girl :-)

Thanks - Good luck with finding the right car for you at the right price. As I've said before its only been on sale a few days and I hope to get closer to my asking price. Its had lots of interest so hopefully someone will come and see it and drive it away. (One of my potentials hopefully)
