Question Having trouble locating obd2 / ssm port, Impreza '97

Having trouble locating obd2 / ssm port, Impreza '97, non-turbo UK

Dash has been changed to flocked in the past, but today I needed to plug in to the 'obd' shaped port... Can't find the sodding thing??

Have in the past used the green and black diagnosis connectors under dash to see fault codes via dash led, this found image seems to show those hanging off the same branch?

Can anyone confirm?

Any clues as to how I can locate the sod, most welcome...

You won't have an ODB2 port on a classic, can't comment on the diagnostic ports.

as above - unlikely to have an OBD port on the car, you should have the SSM port that you've pictured though. Doesn't work with an OBD cable you need the SSM cable for it (basically a serial to USB cable hacked up will do the job).

Look for the yellow plug under where the green and black diagnostic plugs are,the yellow one is the ssm port

Guessing it's a UK car? Didn't know the V3 cars had an airbag system?
Are just going to reset the ecu with the diagnosis plugs then?

A uk GL '97 P reg, facelift bonnet but earlier dash.

Going to try a memory reset yeah, think maybe I'll need to replace one or both airbag sensors though.
