Question

Hi all,
I'm going to take the plunge and by my first scoob and wondered if there is anything especially to look out for. I'm looking to buy a 95/6/7 model.

Any help would be great.
Cheers

If it's a UK, better seats and restyled front from MY97 on. I wish I'd bought one rather than my 96.

AT the age of car that you are looking at ( I own a 96WRX) the values are all similar between UK and Jap imports.
I would advise the Jap import WRX or STI because of the superior power output, and extras that are fitted i.e. electric everything and air con.
JUST make sure it has a genuine service history (reciepted etc) whatever you decide on. It cannot be emphasised enough that the service history is adhered to because this is a turbo charged car.
If i was you look for a enthusiast owned example and stay away from the back street garages.
The alternative is to import a vehicle yourself if you want a Jap Domestic market example.
In 1996/97 the car was facelifted and this example is the one that i would try and find.
what sort of budget are you looking at spending? try and get a low mileage example if you can

good luck

Exclamation

If getting a Jap model, be aware that insurance is higher than for a UK model.
Also, WRXs are shorter-geared than UK cars - great for acceleration, but hopeless for fuel economy!

If you are seriously looking for a Scoob, neither of the above should be of great concern....whatever model you get, these cars are expensive to run, but are worth it for the !!
