Default Opinions on this Forester please...

Having had the most stressful 4 months of my life owning a BMW it's time to look to replace it. I've found this 2005 Forester 2.5 XT in Hereford. Does anyone have any knowledge of this car, or any opinions/advice to impart?

Thanks in anticipation

That looks sweet and properly maintained. You can see money has been spent when it's still got Goodyear tyres. Interior looks mint and it doesn't look like it's been abused. I guess 88k is only 8.8k/year so it's low mileage. Price is good too and you could probably get it down a little more. Looks like a bargain

Looks like a safe bet , well as far as buying second hand ever goes
fdsh, one owner, below ave mileage, well maintained, interior and bodywork look straight and very clean, timing belt has been done all the boxes ticked ....
Would still have a thorough look round and test drive make sure you won't be forking out for pads / discs or anything too soon after purchasing and like said have a haggle , never pay listed price these days for anything but judging by the way its been maintained would imagine there won't be much wrong

cheers

Thanks for the feedback guys. I was pretty taken with it, so to hear that objectively it seems like a good one is encouraging. Hoping to get across to Hereford next week to see it with a bit of luck.

Great car for winter, looks nice inside and sat nav aswell. Only thing is why are there so many silver Subaru's about, seems like no one has any imagination when buying new. Apart from that looks very clean.

I'd find out if he has proof of cambelt change, i mean receipt. Also check the clutch as they can be a pricey job if it hasn't been done.
