Heh heh quite deliberate. We work out the postage to any (well, most) countries based on weight. When you fall out of the lookup table I wanted to ensure that someone did not go ahead and purchase it.
Still, if someone does then we wait for the payment to clear..screech of tyres and we're off

Renewals - the renewal document will go out with the issue of true grip as usual, but will have the shop web address highlighted - hopefully people will use this instead as its more convenient.
Then, reminders will be sent in approx Nov as usual.
thanks for all your help guys, appreciated.

Great layout and everything.
Surprised to see VAT added to the membership costs though - is it subject to VAT? Thought joining / renewal was just 20 quid, so has it / will it be increasing (would still be good value IMO).

Ah re prices and VAT...
At the moment the prices/products are subject to change. A few things to consider :
1. the SIDC will soon be VAT registered so the shop will start out as a non-VAT venture and then be switched over in the next financial year. I'm just testing the functionality and maths
2. It has been £20 for as long as I can remember. AFAIK there are no immediate plans to change this but its worth remembering that £20 today is worth less than £20 four years ago.
3. The shop incurs a credit card charge just like scoobyshop which must somehow be embedded in the price.
4. The addition of postal costs to membership is necessary. We have so many overseas members now that charging them the std £20 is unfair as their postage is much more. The only way to make it fair is to add postage, then if the person is in Greece their postage will be calculated to be more.
However since currently UK members pay £20 inc postage I expect we'll set the price of membership to £17.50 so that once postage is added you have your magic £20 figure.
Remember that the SIDC is and always will be a non-profit making organisation that has its member's interests to heart. We won't be making money from the shop (and we don't want to lose it either !) its just there to make life easier for all.
