Most Subaru tuners have told me it is. Like I keep saying though it's hard to find a true Subaru guru.

It definatly is aluminum, you can tell when you open it, it's just light.
Also when you paint them and rub them down tj bare metal you can see what it's made of quite clearly.
And of course try a magnet on it.

I got told a Carbon Fibre bonnet weighs 3kg, Aluminium 6kg and a steel one 12kg.
